Eurolife Healthcare Pvt Ltd, an Indian specialty medicine company, acquired Teva’s production unit specialised in the manufacturing of intravenous infusions (IV) in Gödöllő.

Eurolife Healthcare, based in Mumbai, specializes in the manufacturing and distribution of intravenous infusions, eye drops, injectables and other pharmaceuticals. Its clients include more than 12,000 hospitals and nursing homes for the elderly, and, with 300 million infusions produced each year, its market share in India is over 30%. In 2017, the Company acquired the Indian operations of Baxter, a US multinational, consolidating its presence in the domestic and global markets.

Eurolife became the first Indian company in the IV market to launch manufacturing operations abroad with the acquisition of Teva. Acquisition of the Hungarian plant supports the company in more efficiently supplying European and American markets with infusion products.

Eurolife intends to invest more than EUR 10 million in expanding the plant over the next three years.
