British Airports Authority (International Holdings) Ltd. (BAA) acquired the 75%-1 of the shares of Budapest Airport Rt. from Hungarian State Privatisation and Holding Company.
Budapest Airport Rt. operates Budapest Ferihegy International Airport. The airport operates 24 hours a day and manages a significant part of the Hungarian air traffic. The airport is located next to Budapest on a site of 1,540 hectares with two independent 3,000 meters long runways.
BAA is a leading airport operator company, which operated Heathrow in London, Gatwick, Stansted, the airport of Naples in Italy and other airports located in Scotland in 2005. BAA also operates airports along with the control of retail in the US.
The Hungarian State Privatisation and Holding Company was co-advised by Concorde MB Partners.
