In December 2020, Trans-Sped Logisztikai Szolgáltató Központ Kft. purchased 27% minority share of Webshippy Magyarország Kft. from MFB Növekedési Tőkealap (Growth Fund of Hungarian Development Bank).

Webshippy was established in 2016 and provides fulfillment services for webshops. The key element of the Company’s value proposition is a proprietary cloud based logistics software which automatically synchronizes webshop orders with the Company’s system. Therefore, the founders think of themselves as a technology company rather than a logistics firm. MFB invested in the company first in December 2017 to support Webshippy’s early stage development as a financial investor and became minority shareholder.

Trans-Sped started its operation as an international freight forwarder in 1990, but since then, it has become a complex logistics solution provider. Its service portfolio covers transportation, freight forwarding, warehousing, management of customs administration, production and value added logistics activities.

In line with its strategic goals, Trans-Sped initiated the transaction to accelerate its presence in the quickly growing fulfillment segment. The two companies have already started their business collaboration during the preparatory phase of the transaction process. While Webshippy’s competitive edge is the efficient service of smaller webshops, Trans-Sped aims to serve larger clients with complex needs. This way the two companies’ activities complement and strengthen each other on the fulfillment market.

The sole transaction advisor of the purchaser was Concorde MB Partners.
