Hungary’s biggest industrial group, Videoton Holding bought majority ownership in STS Group. Founded in 2002, STS concentrates on designing and building power plants using wind power, biomass, geothermic and solar energy. STS is market leader in the sector, with turnover of HUF 3.2 billion in 2009.

Videoton has been seeking acquisition targets to enter the energy market. It’s investment into STS Group will serve as a springboard to this strategy.
