The private equity fund, iEurope Capital, together with the minority owners sold 100% of the shares of Vatera.hu to MIH Internet Europe BV.
Vatera.hu is Hungary’s leading online auction and e-commerce marketplace. The company has gone through a very dynamic development since its foundation in 2000. Voted Hungary’s e-Commerce Company of the Year in both 2006 and 2007, Vatera.hu was also recognized by Red Herring magazine as one of the top 100 technology companies in the EMEA region in 2007 and 2008.
MIH Internet Europe, the purchaser, is an international media company being present on the field of the electronic media, commercial TV, internet, prompt messaging and other related technologies. MIH Internet Europe is the owner of multiple leading online auction sites present in the region.
The sellers were exclusively advised by Concorde MB Partners.
